Frequently Asked Questions - General

General

  • My horse makes little balls when eating his hay ? What do you recommend?

It is highly recommended to contact an equine dentist / veterinarian to control the horse's dental condition.

  • Are all Cavalor supplements safe to give to horses of all ages?

Cavalor supplements can generally be regarded as safe as long as the label instructions are followed. Cavalor labels specify when a supplement can be fed safely to foals. In general we do not recommend to feed supplements to horses younger than 6 months if no specification is made on the label.

  • Is it safe to use Cavalor products during gestation?

Cavalor supplements can generally be regarded as safe as long as the label instructions are followed.

  • Are there safety precautions for Cavalor care prodcucts?

Before use, always read the label instructions. Special precautions apply for Cavalor SoleMate, Dry Feet and MudDoc. The contact with hair or skin should be prevented. We therefore do not recommend to combine the applications of these product with bandages.

  • Is there a risk of "overdosing" some doping ingredient?

Cavalor supplements can generally be regarded as safe as long as the label instructions are followed. The maximum quantities on the labels should be respected. Cavalor feed and Cavalor supplements can be combined safely.
