New Cavalor ambassador Karin Donckers works towards sixth Olympic Games together with Cavalor
Karin Donckers: “Top-level sport is about details!” From 1 January 2014, Cavalor will provide nutritional support to Belgian eventing rider Karin Donckers with Cavalor nutritional supplements and care products. Karin Donckers, who has already competed in five Olympic Games, is currently preparing for the World Equestrian Games in August.
"I am very pleased with the support with regard to nutritional supplements and care products." says the Belgian number one on the world ranking list eventing. Top-level sport is about details, like the care and the nutritional aspect that need to be of absolute top quality, just like for people who need to achieve exceptional results. With Cavalor, I have found a perfect partner for this. Cavalor knows like no other how they can get top horses in perfect condition at the start of the major competitions thanks to their care products and supplements. They have more than won their spurs in this field. Top-level sport demands a lot from the horses and they can use a bonus, also as a preventive measure. Gazelle de la Brasserie still competed in the Olympic cross-country in London when she was eighteen years old. Gazelle has always been followed up very well with regard to nutrition and supplements, and that will certainly have contributed to the fact that she was still in absolute top form at eighteen and that her muscles and joints still functioned perfectly."
Quote - Peter Bollen: "Very pleased that Karin is one of our Cavalor ambassadors now"
Peter Bollen (Cavalor) is pleased that Cavalor has come to an agreement with Karin Donckers. If you say ‘eventing' in Belgium, you say ‘Karin Donckers'. And rightly so. Because Karin's record of achievement is simply impressive and, moreover, Karin is a real ‘horse lover'. I am sure that the feedback we will receive from a star like Karin will be very valuable to us."
Karin Donckers has been the Belgian number one in eventing for years and has already competed in five Olympic Games. Barcelona in 1992 were the first Games where she placed eighth individually with Britt and fourth with the Belgian Team. In 2003 Karin places sixth at the European Championship and in 2004 she finishes in Badminton for the first time. In 2008 she places ninth at the Games in Hong Kong and in 2010 fourth at the WEG in Kentucky and she places third in the CIC4* of Pau. London 2012 is her fifth Olympic Games. She places 15th with the eighteen year-old Gazelle de la Brasserie who retires after the Games. In the World Cup ranking of that year Karin finishes second. In 2013 Karin Donckers wins the Belgian championship for the seventh time with her new up-and-coming talent Fletcha van 't Verahof. So far Karin Donckers has been the only one to graduate with from the VTS (Flemish Trainer School) a Trainer A diploma in the three Olympic disciplines (Dressage, Jumping and Eventing).
