New Cavalor Ambassador!

Published: 2019-04-12

Welcome to the team, Dressuurstal Van Baalen! We are looking forward to a nice cooperation.

Dressage stable Dressuurstal Van Baalen (DVB) in Brakel (Gelderland-the Netherlands) is the home of Olympic riders Coby and Marlies van Baalen. DVB gladly trains riders and horses at all levels - from beginners to Grand Prix - and with success.

Coby and Marlies have both competed successfully at Grand-Prix level with several horses. Now, Marlies is highly successful in the Grand Prix with Ben Johnson DVB, Dion Johnson DVB and Go Legend DVB.

Dressuurstal Van Baalen has five FNRS stars and is also a KNHS Talents Training centre. Coaching and training the horses and riders is central. In the past 25 years, DVB has led more than 55 students to the national A- and B-levels. These students won a total of 92 medals at European championships, including 9 individual gold medals. The many successes of the owners and students make the stable what it is today: an inspiring place to learn, train, watch and stay.

The right training is indispensable for the right coaching. Coby van Baalen is qualified coach level 6, a coach who works according to the NOC*NSF guidelines at Olympic level. Marlies van Baalen is qualified coach level 5, a coach who works according to the NOC*NSF guidelines at Grand Prix level.

Dressuurstal Van Baalen yearly breeds five foals on average. The breeding farm has produced e.g. the European youth champions Habibi (Ulft x Onyx) and Inspekteur (Darwin x Amor). Approved stallion Elton John DVB (Jazz x Fidermark) and Kaiser DVB (De Niro x Johnson) were also born in Brakel. Many elite mares are now being used in the dressage sections, including Jacky Kennedy DVB (Damsey x Jazz), Icerole DVB (Desperados x Painted Black) and Grace DVB (Bordeaux x Fruhling).
