Wright(2001) reviewed the use of glycosamineglycans (chondroitin sulphate and glucosamine)as oral supplements in the treatment and prevention of joint diseases. The article descibes outcomes of experiments with horses and other species. It is concluded that oral supplementation of chondroitin sulphate and glucosamine show positive clinical responses and are logical choices for the treatment and prevention of joint disease.
