Differences in unit area sweating rate among different areas of the body in exercising horses
It was studied if there were differences in total sweating rate among different area’s of the body during exercise. The sweating rate was measured through unit area using filter papers in a capsule which was put at each site of the horse’s body. Sweat rate was measured at neck, shoulder, back, loin and flank of the horse. The authors discuss the possibilities and limitatations of this technique.
