Diurnal variations in milk amino acid concentrations in the horse
In this preliminary study, the authors studied the relationship between nutrient intake by lactating horses and the amino acid concentrations in mare’s milk. The authors studied the diurnal variations in the maternal amino acid concentrations. The milk amino acid samples were taken every 2 h in two lactating broodmares during a 24 h collection period.
