Our Cavalor riders did an amazing job at Jumping Mechelen. We are happy to share some highlights!
Nicola Philippaerts was elected ‘Talent of the Year 2011'. His twin brother Olivier Philippaerts and eventer Vincent Martens both finished second, in this yearly talent spotting competion, organized by the "Vlaamse Liga Paardesport" (Flamish Equestrian Ligue). Nicola Philippaerts won the individual gold medal at the European Championships for young riders in Comporta earlier that year. Both Olivier and Nicola rode their first FEI World Cup at Jumping Mechelen alongside their father, Ludo Phillippaerts. Nicola finished 9th in the Land Rover FEI World Cup on Carlos VHP Z. Ludo Philippaerts finished 2nd in the Land Rover Masters and the Euphony Six Bar with Chicago van het Moleneind. Furthermore Jos Lansink finished 2nd on Casper van Spieveld in the GP Topsport Vlaanderen. He didn't seem to go as fast as Nina Fagerstörm though, (winner of the GP) but still made some very sharp turns. In Dressage, Vicky Smits came through with flying colours on Daianira Van de Helle! They finished 7th in the Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage.
