Bernard Fonck from Belgium is among the best reining riders in the world. In 2006 he and his 17-year-old stallion “Roosters Spurs” took the No. 1 position on the FEI Reining World Rankings List. At the CRI of Dortmund, Bernard maintained his top position by placing second.

In 2006, he competed on the Belgian team in the World Equestrian Games in Aachen 2006. He also won the bronze medal in Kreutz. His other wins include three Lawson NRHA Bronze trophies, eight Morisson NRHA trophies, 15 Pewter NRHA Trophies, the open Hyundai reining circuit 2005, the Belgian Open reining Futurity 2005 and the silver medal at the FEI Limited Open.

Bernard works with Cavalor sponsored rider Ann Poels of Rawhide Ranch, where he is a reining trainer. The Rawhide Ranch was originally founded by Gerry and Rita Poels and is now continued by their two daughters, Christel and Ann, who grew up completely "into horses." After both having followed extensive education both in Belgium and the United States, they have each specialized in various disciplines of Western riding.

Bernard became NRHA Open World Champion 2012 !
