Christel Poels

From now on Cavalor Ambassadors will be easily recognizable, thanks to this unique logo developed especially for them. The new ambassador logo symbolizes our mutual engagement.

Christel Poels of Belgium, who says she always loved horses, started competing at the age of 16. By 18, she was competing internationally. She started as a dressage rider, changed to reining, and within 10 years became World Champion Reiner, as the first European female ever.

Her other successes include: German Champion hunter under saddle; repeatedly European Champion in western pleasure and hunter under saddle; numerous times Belgian champion in halter, junior western pleasure, senior western pleasure, junior hunter under saddle and senior hunter under saddle; and German, Dutch and Belgian futurity winner.

Many of her favorite times came during riding competitions in the United States. There she met famous Western riders and has remained friends with many of them through the years. She says she doesn't need any hobbies because "my horses always gave me all relaxation I can dream of."
Her most admired person is her sister, Ann, who is also a Cavalor sponsored rider.
